Just returned from a business trip to Orlando. I’d like to say that enormous corporate parks like Disney are not my thing. But then again a corporation has some rights to Angkor Wat, which I loved visiting and have written about many times here. So maybe I shouldn’t get too snobby. Then again, that corporation did not build Angkor Wat …
Disney did deliver some inspiration: tented ceilings! Like this one at Flying Fish on the Disney boardwalk, which I captured with Instagram before diners filled the room:
And there was an enormous tented ceiling in the lobby of the Disney Swan and Dolphin hotel:

Our apartment in India has the wackiest placement of ceiling beams, plus the beams are all different widths and depths. A challenge to deal with when decorating, for sure. These rooms inspire me to think about tenting the ceiling of the main living area.
